Nathan J. Middle School (NJMS) is proud to be part of a community that values academic excellence, personal growth, and student achievement. Our school consistently demonstrates excellence with students achieving recognition in National Merit programs, U.S. Blue Ribbon honors, Oklahoma Reward Schools, and numerous academic competitions. NJMS students also shine in athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities, earning championships and awards year after year. We are committed to creating an environment where every student has the opportunity to explore and thrive in their areas of interest.

Cluster 1: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources

Overview:
This cluster focuses on the production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing, and development of agricultural commodities and natural resources.

  1. Agribusiness Systems

    • Careers: Farm manager, agriculture sales rep, commodity trader

    • Focus: Business operations within agriculture, marketing, and finance

  2. Animal Systems

    • Careers: Veterinarian, livestock technician, animal nutritionist

    • Focus: Animal care, breeding, and production

  3. Environmental Service Systems

    • Careers: Environmental scientist, water quality technician, sustainability coordinator

    • Focus: Environmental monitoring, conservation, and regulation

Driver's Education

Overview

Our Driver’s Education course includes 30 hours of online or classroom-based instruction. Students will cover the rules of the road, signs, and safe driving habits before moving on to behind-the-wheel training.

Behind-the-Wheel Training

Includes 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a certified instructor. Students learn proper lane changes, freeway merging, parallel parking, and safe braking techniques in real-world conditions.

Defensive Driving

Overview

This refresher course is ideal for adults looking to reduce points on their license or improve insurance rates. Learn techniques to avoid collisions, deal with aggressive drivers, and maintain control in challenging conditions.

 

Digital Media Design

Overview

This course introduces students to the world of digital creativity — from graphic design and video editing to animation and web layout. Using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, students will complete hands-on projects that can be used in portfolios and competitions.
