About Us

Pioneer Middle School, home of the Pioneers, is part of the Applewood School district. Serving students in grades 6 through 8, Pioneer Middle provides a supportive and engaging environment where students are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. With a strong emphasis on academic achievement and personal development, our students consistently perform above state averages and are recognized for their leadership, creativity, and community involvement.

Small class sizes allow teachers to connect personally with each student, ensuring every learner receives the attention and encouragement they need to succeed. Pioneer Middle School offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, from athletics to academic and service-oriented clubs. Students can participate in sports such as basketball, volleyball, track and field, and cross country, or join organizations like Student Council, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), Robotics Club, and more.
